The latest venture from the successful group behind Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes has just landed in London’s beautiful Sicilian Avenue, in the heart of Bloomsbury.

Named with historical reference to the 1800s, when local residents would enjoy a spot of whippet racing followed by a drink of ale in one of the small breweries and a feast of coal-grilled meats, The Whippet has been receiving regular praise from visitors right from its opening night – most notably for its championing of local ales from small craft breweries, as well as its delicious lunch and dinner offerings. This has seen it become an immensely busy public house in a very short time.

System Solution

The Sound Division Group was contracted to supply the in-house music system, which comprises four JBL Control 29 speakers and an SB210 bass bin to cover the two ground floor bar areas, and three Control 28 speakers to provide music in the smaller basement pizza bar and games area. A DBX Digital ZonePRO sound management system was also supplied and programmed to provide sound zoning, equalisation, and speaker protection throughout.

The Result

Operations Director Jason Waggott says that Sound Division had once again done a first-class job with the installation and the sound quality.
