The Client

Taking its name from a site opposite the Skinners Company, Pelt Trader is the latest bar from the Bloomsbury Leisure Group, which owns and operates Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes, the Holborn Whippet, the Euston Tap, and more.

Located in an arch under Cannon Street station – which was variously used as a coal store, left luggage office and a motorbike showroom – Pelt Trader offers more than 16 beers on tap, including German lager, wheat beer, and craft keg beers.

Project Brief

Sound Division previously installed a large music system at Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes, Tavistock Square. On this occasion, Sound Division was asked to provide a simple but effective background music system with zoning capability – to fill the main space and feed low level music to additional areas.

System Solution

Four JBL Control 28 speakers were installed, powered by a Crown Xli amplifier and controlled by a Numark PD4 Zoning Mixer. A further JBL Control 28 speaker was located in the washroom.

Sound Division returned in June to install a 60” Samsung LED TV Screen for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
