The Client
Located on Hackney Road, Morito is the third restaurant from the acclaimed Moro family. With its lively open kitchen, tapas-style dishes and effortlessly social atmosphere, it’s a space that hums with energy, from clinking glasses to the rhythm of conversation and music.
When the team decided it was time to upgrade their sound system, General Manager Jon Vega approached Sound Division following a trusted recommendation. The brief was clear: deliver a high-quality, easy-to-use audio system that could adapt seamlessly across the restaurant’s multi-level layout.
Project Brief
Sound Division was tasked with designing and installing a bespoke two-zone sound system that would reflect the restaurant’s Mediterranean pulse, expressive, warm and full of life. The system needed to provide powerful yet unobtrusive coverage throughout both the ground-floor restaurant and the multi-purpose lower ground floor, with simple controls for the team to manage day-to-night transitions.
System Solution
To achieve this, we installed Martin Audio CDD6 loudspeakers, chosen for their compact design and clarity, powered by Crown amplification and managed via Cloud CX163 audio control.
Each floor is equipped with its own remote control panel, giving staff intuitive control over volume and source selection.
Dedicated dual DJ connection points were also added in the lower ground floor, ensuring the system could easily support private events and late-night service. This combination delivers consistent sound performance across every area, clear, balanced and immersive, without overpowering the natural ambience of the space.
The Result
The result is a sound system that feels as alive as the restaurant itself.
From relaxed daytime dining to late-night mezze and events, the audio moves effortlessly with the flow of service. Like the food and design, the sound at Morito Hackney Road is bold, balanced and full of character, enhancing the vibrant energy that defines the venue.
