KORA at Beaufort House

Discreet, high-quality audio with focus on aesthetics for Mediterranean‑inspired dining

The Client

Located on the King’s Road in Chelsea, Beaufort House has long been a local favourite, recognised for its stylish brasserie, members’ lounge and Champagne Bar. Owned by Simon Oldham and Louis Hyser, it remains a go-to spot for dining, socialising and late-night gatherings.

Originally the venue’s ground floor brasserie, the space was recently rebuilt and transformed into KORA, a brand new restaurant concept and food offering with a Mediterranean sensibility: bright, elegant and open, designed to suit breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Project Brief

Sound Division has supported Beaufort House for many years, providing ongoing sound and AV services across its spaces. When Simon and Louis planned the transformation, they accordingly asked us to deliver a sound system that would blend seamlessly into the design while providing full, warm sound throughout the restaurant.

The brief was for what we call “Magic Speakers”, high-quality audio that feels rich and immersive, yet remains almost invisible; very discreet, blending into the décor seamlessly. The system needed to complement the light, minimalist interiors, offering even coverage for relaxed daytime dining and enough depth for lively evening service.

System Solution

We selected Martin Audio CDD6 compact loudspeakers in white, chosen for their smooth tone and discreet profile. With a 6.5-inch driver, these speakers are small enough to blend into the décor yet powerful enough to deliver full-bodied sound with clarity and warmth.

The system is controlled via a smart-looking BSS Audio EC8BV wall-mounted remote panel, allowing staff to adjust volume or change inputs quickly and easily. It integrates seamlessly with Beaufort House’s wider audio network, enabling KORA to share music or DJ feeds from other areas of the venue when required.

The Result

The result is a refined, flexible sound system that enhances KORA’s relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. The speakers fill the space evenly without ever drawing attention, ensuring the sound remains smooth and balanced from morning coffee to evening dining.
