The Client

Azteca Öme opened in summer 2024, located on Clapham’s lively Battersea Rise. Blending Mexican and Japanese flavours in a colourful, contemporary setting, it is known for its creative menu, cocktails and social energy, attracting guests from daytime brunch to late-night celebrations.

Project Brief

This is the second site for the Azteca brand. Having built a strong relationship with our client through other restaurants within their portfolio, they naturally turned to us to design and install a music system for this new venue, ensuring the same high-quality sound and seamless control across all locations.

The aim was to achieve a rich, consistent sound throughout while keeping all equipment as discreet as possible. The system also needed to be easy for staff to control, switching effortlessly between relaxed dining and DJ-led evenings.

System Solution

We designed a complete audio solution using Martin Audio loudspeakers to deliver clarity and warmth at every level.

Adorn A55 loudspeakers were installed throughout the restaurant for smooth, balanced background sound. These compact models feature dual 5.25-inch drivers, giving excellent definition for background music while maintaining a low visual profile. In the bar areas, more powerful Martin Audio CDD6 speakers were installed to add greater depth and presence. Their 6.5-inch drivers produce a richer low-end response, ideal for busy evening service without overpowering conversation.

The system is managed by BSS Audio Blu100 digital processing and powered by Crown Audio amplification. Custom iPad control panels provide intuitive zone control, allowing staff to adjust sound levels or switch sources with ease.

The Result

The installation delivers full, even sound throughout Azteca Öme’s multi-room layout, enhancing the energy and ambience of the space. From easy-going daytime dining to upbeat evening sessions, the system adapts smoothly to every occasion.
