The Client

Glow Bar, in the heart of London’s Fitzrovia, is a wellness company for women. It was created by Sasha Sabapathy, a brand planner-turned-chef, to offer stress management techniques and wellbeing remedies for today’s modern living.

The Glow Bar premises has several distinct elements: a café and lounge area where customers can catch up with their friends over various blends of de-stressing ingredients.

A Glow Bar Shop offers adaptogen herbs, moon shakes and superfoods designed to help women keep their glow through times of stress.

Finally, the Infrared Saunas, available in-store and proving especially popular with London’s office workers at lunchtime, utilise modern technology as a healing method to increase circulation, boost immune systems and stimulate collagen production, to leave guests on a ‘runner’s-high’ after each sweat session..

Project Brief

We were asked to provide a high-quality background music system throughout their facilities, complete with control over each area. The goal was to add to the relaxing ambience with a carefully selected soundtrack.

System Solution

In the retail space, we installed several Bose DS16S compact loudspeakers for background music playback. In the spa lounge, sauna and changing room areas we opted for flush-mounted Cloud ceiling speakers, for a visually seamless experience.

These were connected to a Cloud 36/50 Zoned Mixing Amplifier that controls up to three outputs in one console. The zoning functionality of the 36/50 allows Glow Bar’s staff/management to have complete control over media playback in each of the individual areas as required.
