The Event

High above the City of London, the 60th floor terrace at Lucky Cat provided a striking location for Tech Tastings: Beyond the Till, an exclusive corporate event focused on the future of hospitality technology. Hosted by TISSL EPOS and Tech On Toast, and co-sponsored by Giftpro and storekit, the gathering brought together industry leaders for a day of forward-thinking discussion and product innovation.

Guests experienced keynote talks, live technology demos and informal networking, all set against panoramic views of the capital. With its unique setting and curated agenda, the event created a memorable environment for exploring new ideas and building meaningful connections within the hospitality tech community.

Production Services

Sound Division was brought in to deliver the full AV production package, ensuring the experience was as technically polished as it was visually striking. Working within the unique layout of the high-rise terrace space, our team supplied a discreet but high-performance PA system comprising compact d&b audiotechnik E8 loudspeakers powered via a proprietary D12 amplifier. Audio was managed through an Allen & Heath SQ-5 compact digital mixer, with Shure SM87 QLXD handheld wireless microphones providing reliable and clear speech reinforcement for all presenters and panellists.

Two Samsung 65” display screens were positioned on the terrace to support visual presentations and branded holding slides, ensuring content was visible without distracting from the event’s open, elegant environment.

Sound Engineer Graham Backhouse managed the AV, ensuring smooth transitions between formal presentations and casual networking, while providing live support throughout to guarantee that every technical element ran seamlessly from start to finish. The event was fortunate to enjoy perfect weather, with bright sunshine and clear skies offering an ideal backdrop for relaxed networking over chilled champagne and wine, as guests captured the spectacular panoramic views across London.
