Yamaha Muppets movie tie-in promotion at babyGap
Sound Division supplied the babyGap clothing store at Oxford Circus with a discreet sound system and staging set for a two-day in-store promotion on February 17th & 18th.
The event featured musical performances themed around the new Muppets movie and the new Clavinova 500 series Yamaha keyboards. The promotion featured 8 year-old, grade 8 pianist Curtis Elton giving performances and there were also Yamaha ‘My First Pianos’ for store visitors to try out.
The company supplied a white EV ZX90 compact speaker system with a Soundcraft Folio mixer to provide amplification for the keyboards as well as a Shure ULX radio microphone for announcements.
A 6’x4’ stage platform was supplied and finished with a pink vinyl covering in the Muppets’ signature colours; a green vinyl flooring was also laid down to give additional theming.
The entire setup was installed overnight to be ready for use when the store opened. The promotion was adjudged a tremendous success drawing many additional visitors into the store to watch the show.
