Walk-in Hermes Handbag experience at Selfridges, London
Sound Division were delighted to be involved in this innovative audio visual project that involved a giant walk-in Hermes Handbag simulator being built in Selfridges, London positioned within the ground floor Wonder Room.
Sound Division were called upon to assist with the building of the 4 metre high replica of the world famous Hermes Kelly bag which was part way through a tour of Selfridges stores in Manchester, Birmingham and London and would later be visiting several of Hermes European Concessionaire stores.
Visitors were invited to step into and sit inside the giant Kelly bag and, thanks to the surround sound audio visual system and special simulation effects, experience life as an accessory handbag being carried around by its owner.
There were three short simulator film options to choose from which would take you on a journey to various social encounters where the latest augmented reality techniques allow each of your senses to feel as though you are really there. It certainly was a very successful promotional tool, judging by the steady queue of customers it drew each day.
